Clive Madgwick was born in London in 1934. He was educated at Epsom College and London University. From 1972 Clive Madgwick has been painting seriously, and over the years his favorite subjects have become landscapes and sporting scenes. However, he also excels at painting architectural scenes. He was the winner of the Royal Landscape prize in 1978, and the Daler and Rowney Award Equestrian Society 1987.
